The company was actually non-existent. I just got back from Coffeesmiths where I was going to meet my Bible study gals for a bit of casual socialization before we begin our new study. No one else showed up. Which is fine, (I almost didn’t even go myself) but I was looking forward to what would have been my last evening with the girls (at least for a couple weeks) without diaper changes and feeding breaks.
Soon I will be trading this baby belly in for a car seat and nursing bras. Hopefully, really soon. The doc stripped my membrane today and instructed me to spend some “quality time” with hubby to try and move things along. He is having me come back in on Friday morning (if I haven’t had this baby by then) because he’s thinking I may need to be induced, we’ll see what happens.
I think I’m gonna skip tackling this Tuesday, but I do have a wonderful weekend to share…
Did you know my hubby was working two jobs? Along with his day job he worked overnight three times a week. Twice a week he was traveling straight from one job to the next. Needless to say… on his evenings off he was exhausted and spent most of his time off in bed (including Saturday and Sunday afternoons). God is so good. In His perfect timing (which happened to be just before this baby’s arrival) He has made it possible for hubby to no longer work those dreadful hours. No more second job. This past weekend was Hubby’s first weekend off in… a really really long time. It was awesome having him as an “active” part of the family. We had a fabulous dinner (that we spent the afternoon cooking together) on Labor Day. We took a picnic lunch out to a walking trail and then did some walking (and the boys of course explored the forest a bit and played with dad down by the river) on Sunday after church. We walked up to the school playground and played some baseball with the boys. Dad mowed the yard and I swept the porches and walkways while the boys rode their bikes up and down the sidewalk. And we spent our evenings playing Uno together (Trent won twice in a row last night, he’s so happy about that I’m sure he wanted me to share). I know, it doesn’t sound like much, but it was an awesome weekend for us. I look forward to many more!
