Back in business!

We mentioned in church this morning that I was in need of a new keyboard… should of know that in our group of techies and Rockwell employees that there would be a few “lyin” around. A couple people offered to bring one by for me, and I’m not yet sure where this one came from (it was left on our porch, probably while we were napping this afternoon) but it works great!! I’m logged into my own account and no more copy and pasting missing letters. Thanks so much for the keyboard!

So, hubby has returned, which has been wonderful (I think him being gone for a week did us some good – reminded us how much we love and appreciate each other).

No sign of baby commin out of this belly, but I did rearrange the nursery (AGAIN) this afternoon. I decided that I wanted my nursing seat to be in the back corner and next to a shelf where I could keep books and a beverage while I’m feeding baby. It was a practical rearrangement.

I have another OB appointment tomorrow and Grandma is taking the boys again and hubby will meet me there. I think I’ll ask for a gown… or at least two pink pieces of paper this time.

Were gonna finalize our birth plan with my doc, which includes going home right after delivery (not quite brave enough for a home birth… but this will be the next best thing). I really want to recover in the comforts of my own home, especially since I am going for a natural delivery and recovery (at least that’s the plan… after the disaster my epidural ended up being last time, plus, if you know me, you know how much I dislike meds anyway).

We also don’t want the nurses taking baby and giving him/or her bottles and pacifiers or intruding on our (hubby and I) time to bond with our new addition. Not to mention I’m sure to eat better than I would at the hospital (have ya had the food there?!), and hubby won’t have to starve. It will also be nice to minimize baby’s exposure to all the not-so-green products, chemicals and such that a hospital uses. We want to introduce the cloth diapers right away, as well as our own (natural) diaper cream, lotions and soap and only as needed. I’m really excited to see what kind of a difference it all makes… healthier baby skin, less illness, a quicker (and uninterrupted – like my trouble with Nevan) response to nursing and less stress on me and baby. Plus, coming home right away will really be good for the whole family. The boys won’t have to be “displaced” and will get to share in the experience and bond with their new sibling.

I’ll be sure to let you know whether or not we are granted the official OK tomorrow, which shouldn’t be a problem since I’m not high risk and have had three successful births w/o any complications.

So glad to see you back!! You’ve been on my mind–I don’t know why–just there in the back of my mind, so I’ve been saying some prayers for you and yours.I’m glad your hubby is home safe and sound. This sounds like a good plan to me–going home immediately after delivery. I did that with my youngest daughter, and everything worked out fine. She slept better, nursed better, and I felt better being in my own surroundings. Unfortunately, my mom had taken the older two to MD with her, so they didn’t get a chance to see their new little sister for several days. She thought she was doing me a favor, but I really missed them. You’re in my thoughts and prayers today for a safe delivery, a beautiful new bundle of love from God, and everyone in your family adapting well to the change of a new little one!Oh, by the way!! Can you e-mail your address–your surprise is ready to go out in the mail!!Have a wonderful day!!Beth

I have been moving from one post to another when I came across yours -this might seem strange but I saw your name and it caught me offguard – my maiden is Lloyd and my brother was married to a Tiffanie. Unfortunately the marriage did not last, and I have often prayed and wondered where Tiffanie ended up. She had many issues that made it impossible for her to stay in a marriage. My heart has been heavy for her over the years, but I have not thought about her in a few months. I am glad I stumbled by your sight to bring her back to mind and to my prayers!Your children are beautiful and may the rest of your pregnancy be wonderful!
