Thankful Thursday
Have you ever been to Cold Stone? OMG, how could one not be thankful for such yummyness!
Have you ever seen the anticipation of a six year old as he’s mulling over which flavor to choose? I am thankful for my six year old and the excitement he brings our family.
Have you ever seen the eyes of a four year old light up as you hand him his cone? I am thankful for my four year old and the joy he brings our family.
Have you ever seen ice cream smeared on the face of a smiling two year old? I am thankful for my two year old and the laughter he brings our family.
Have you ever seen a father look so lovingly at his sons? I am thankful for my husband and all that he brings our family.
Have you ever seen the satisfaction of a woman, about to pop, after devouring a second helping of ice cream? I am thankful for this baby; a precious new addition to our family.
Trent asked “what’s my last name” during dinner last night, and I was reminded of how thankful I am for my family and all the ways that God has brought us together, provided for us and given me hope in a life I once thought to be hopeless. My oldest two are adopted by my husband, but many don’t know that and one could never tell. God is so good. He gave my sons a wonderful father. He blessed me with a husband I don’t deserve. And he continues to bless our family with new life. I have great hope… for my marriage, for my children, for our family… and for some more ice cream (my favorite is cookies n cream of course).
In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. 1 Peter 1:3
